Location
Our tropical surf destination is located very close to the colorful city of Salvador. The capital of the Bahia region is considered the most African of Brazil, which is clearly visible when you move around the center of the city.
In the old city center “Pelourinho” you can find art and handmade souvenirs for the ones at home. The smell of samba and caipirinhas wafts through the alleys. Only 30 kilometers outside, our camp is located between the Atlantic Ocean and a lagoon.

The Camp
The surf camp Brazil is located in the nature reserve “Busca Vida” directly on the palm beach, surrounded by forest, a lagoon and sand dunes. There you can spend the surf breaks comfortably in the hammock while watching the other surfers in the waves outside the front door.
Beto is a former surf pro and runs the camp. He will show you the best spots, give you the best tips and will introduce you deeply into the Brazilian culture. A 7 kilometer long private sandy beach awaits you with several surf spots a few steps away from the camp.

Food Package
In the center of the camp is the dining area where we serve our 3 meals a day with healthy and tasty ingredients. This area is also our information center and the place where we prefer to sit with a drink and talk about the waves of the day.
The Food Package is included in the All In Package. It includes breakfast with lots of fresh tropical fruits and typical Brazilian lunch and dinner every day of the week, as well as fruit juices and water.

Getting there
You fly into the international airport“Salvador Bahia Airport (SSA)” in Salvador da Bahia. The driving time to the surf camp is about 20 minutes.
The best and recommended way to get from the airport to the camp is by Uber. The price is around € 7,-.
Since the camp is located in a gated private area (Condominio / Gated Community), you will have to use the “Special Driver Service” of the facility if you arrive between 21:00 and 07:00. You will not be allowed to enter the main gate any other way. The price for the pickup is the equivalent of € 20, – and is to be paid directly to the driver.
No! The arrival and departure days in the surf camp Brazil are freely selectable.
Yes, please always let us know your arrival time in advance! We optimise the cleaning schedule according to the indicated times so that you have the shortest possible waiting time.
In addition, after your booking, we will send you a form that you must fill out and present at the main gate of the neighborhood in order to be admitted.
If you plan to explore the surrounding area on your own besides the surf course, a rental car is certainly a good consideration.
Of course, it makes the most sense to pick up the car right at the airport. Then you don’t have to organize the transfer to the camp and the return to the airport separately. However, please keep in mind that in South America the usual driving style is a bit more “unconventional” than in Europe and you will need to show an international driver’s license.

The majority of our guests are between 25 and 35 years old.
Yes, many! The percentage of guests travelling alone is probably higher than you think! So you’ll quickly find a connection even without a travel partner.
If you book a place in one of the dorms (4-bed rooms), you will share the room with other surfers. If you are a solo traveler and would like to have an accommodation for yourself alone, there is of course also the possibility to book a double room as a single room for an extra charge.
Of course! You are not going camping, so you don’t need to think about bringing bed linen and towels. Everything is provided and we change your towel in the middle of the week
As the towels are for bathroom use only, please bring your own beach towel. If it won´t fit in the suitcase, we can also help you out. Just let us know when you check in!
Since we’re in the tropics here, you most likely won’t need a hair dryer. If you do, we would ask you to bring your own.
Yes! We have a good internet connection and you should have wifi reception throughout the site.
Surfing
Yes, you can and you should! Our Level 1 (Beginner) surf course is designed for beginners and no surfing experience is required.
Absolutely! Depending on where you are with your skills, you will find Level 2 (Step Up) or Level 3 (Intermediate) courses just right to develop your surfing from your current level upwards. Our coaches are always by your side.
The surf courses run 6 days per week (Mon-Sat). Sunday is for relaxing and for arrival and departure.
A course unit lasts about 2 hours and usually takes place on the beach directly in front of the house. Depending on the conditions, we make a trip 2 times a week to other spots in the area.
Sure! All surf equipment is included in all surf course levels. But you definitely won’t need a wetsuit. We are in the tropics here!
If you are not participating in the surf course, you can also rent equipment separately.
Yes, you can also use the surf equipment outside the course hours at the house beach! A short consultation with one of the surf instructors is recommended in any case.
Yes, we love surfing with kids! We coach children from the age of 12 and also have the appropriate material for this at the camp.
We teach in English as well as Portuguese if needed.
All our surf instructors have completed their training programme with the surf association and are trained lifeguards, whose content they refresh every 2 years in a course.
A instructor teaches up to 6 surfing students in his group.
